Michigan Meeting Focuses on Microbial Communites

Ed Yong, an award-winning science writer for The Atlantic, and Jack Gilbert, a professor of surgery at the University of Chicago, discussed how microbes —communities of microscopic organisms that live on or in people, plants, soil, oceans and the atmosphere — affect life forms on Earth, and how they can be manipulated to improve human health during a session titled “Invisible Influence: Microbiomes in the World”  Monday evening (May 16th) at the Rackham Amphitheater.
