Students Study Their Own Microbiomes

Pooping into a petri dish is becoming standard practice as part of some college biology courses. Bio173 was recently featured in The Scientist.

Biology 173 was recently featured in The Scientist. The research section for this class was designed to engage the students in a very personal way, using themselves as test subjects to measure the effects of dietary supplements on their microbiomes. Read the full article here.
