Course Description

Principles and techniques of molecular biology with an emphasis on genetic analysis of enzymatic systems capable of pollutant degradation; genetic systems and gene probing in unusual prokaryotes; use of molecular biological techniques for the enumeration and characterization of natural microbial communities; biochemistry and kinetics of enzymatic systems.

Lectures and laboratory.
