The successful candidates will be part of a multidisciplinary team within a large community of microbiologists, molecular biologists and biochemists working to improve health by microbiome modulation.
The Department of Microbiology & Immunology at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB), Galveston, is seeking to recruit tenure-track faculty at the academic rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor with MD, PhD, DVM or equivalent degrees. The preferred research areas of bacteriology include bacterial genomics, virulence, antibiotic resistance, and microbiomes. The preferred research areas of immunology include the molecular basis of innate and adaptive immunity to pathogen infection and autoimmune diseases.
The Department of Immunology and Infectious Diseases (IID) at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health invites applications for a tenure-track position at the level of assistant or associate professor. The academic rank will be determined in accordance with the successful candidate’s experience and productivity. IID faculty research is primarily focused on gut microbiome, parasite, and immune interactions at barrier surfaces.
The Department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology invites applications at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to work on the basic or translational aspects of host-microbe interactions and immunology. Ideal candidates should have highly interactive research programs with the potential to synergize or enhance those of the department and the institution, which include microbial pathogenesis and physiology, host immune responses to pathogens, host interactions with the microbiota, neuroinflammation, and tumor immunology.
