Course Description

This course is to prepare undergraduates for independent research in Microbiology and Immunology.  Learning the process of scientific discovery, how to design and execute a research project, and lab survival skills (notekeeping, ethics, and basic lab chemistry).  3 modules (4 weeks each) providing a survey of current research in microbiology, immunology, virology, bacteriology or parasitology.  Elementary level will provide introduction to the topic, and overview of current techniques in the field, instructor guided introduction to reading primary literature.
