MTRAC Life Sciences provides resources to support translational projects in the life sciences with high commercial potential. MTRAC Life Sciences is administered by Innovation Partnerships and Fast Forward Medical Innovation at the University of Michigan, with generous sponsorship from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.
LSA Community-Engaged Course Development Grants, funded by the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts and administered by the Ginsberg Center, offer up to $1500 to support new and ongoing community-engaged courses.
These Course Development Grants are open to all LSA tenured and tenure-track faculty; clinical instructional faculty; and lecturers who teach on the Ann Arbor campus and who have continuing appointments and course development responsibilities.

On May 27, 2020, the University of Michigan and healthcare investment firm Deerfield Management entered into an agreement to partner in the development and commercialization of therapeutic projects that hold promise in solving unmet medical needs. Deerfield has created a company named Great Lakes Discovery through which it will work with the University of Michigan, and committed up to $130 million over the next decade to invest in biomedical research at U-M with the aim of developing potentially life-saving drugs and disease treatments.
