Call for Abstracts
Dear friends and colleagues,
Many of the expanded global research programs in AMR/ARG will be reaching the first stage of maturity in 2017. That makes the 4th International Symposium on the Environmental Dimension of Antibiotic Resistance (EDAR), which will be held from 13–17 August 2017 on the campus of Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan (USA), very timely for sharing research outcomes as well as identifying the next stage needs to protect public health.
To meet these goals, it is my great pleasure to invite you to join us in Lansing (US) and to submit your scientific contributions to the following topics by 14 April 2017:
Abstract Topics:
Basic science underpinning AMR
1. Natural resistome, selection and evolution
2. ARG genetic linkages, gene/plasmid mobility, HGT
3. Environmental antibiotic chemistry, bioavailability, metabolism
Advances in characterizing environmental sources, consequences, stewardship and/or mitigation
4. AMR/ARG sources, mitigation: terrestrial and agriculture
5. ARG/ARG sources, mitigation: water environments
