MICRBIOL 612: Reproducible data analysis with R

During the Winter 2024 semester, I will be offering a 1 credit module of MICRBIOL 612. The course is open to UM students, postdocs, staff, and faculty and will be taught in person. To participate in the module, you will need to sign up through this google form.

Reproducible data analysis with R - February 29-March 1 (this is during Spring break) - 1 credit
This module will introduce participants to the best practices in automating data analyses using R. Examples will primarily come from diverse areas outside of microbiology and will have a focus on data visualization. The discussion and methods will be generally applicable across science. An example of the materials can be found here. Learners should plan on each day of the module running from 9-12 and 1-4. Prerequisites: Ability to type and find your way around your laptop. If you are not a credit taking student, the cost of the module will be $100 payable by a shortcode that you can enter in the google form
