Course Description

This course introduces the population ecology and evolution of parasites and disease-causing agents impacting human, animal, and plant health. The emphasis will be on patterns of temporal change and spatial spread at the population level. 

Main themes include the impact of environmental change, particularly in climate, on infectious diseases, the connection between biodiversity and health, the role of disease in conservation, and the co-evolution of hosts and parasites.
