Transplantation Biology Program

Postdoctoral
Staff

Applications are sought for post-doctoral fellows and/or research associates in the Transplantation Biology Program jointly headed by Marilia Cascalho, MD PhD and Jeffrey Platt, MD at the University of Michigan.Interested parties should email Dr. Cascalho to set up a time to meet.
Further information can be found below.

Our research program stresses transformative projects in basic and applied immunology (immune therapeutics), transplantation, genetics, host-pathogen interaction and vaccine design.  The research is supported by the NIH and other sources; commercial sources are being explored. Our research team has made seminal discoveries and advances in application of genetic engineering in transplantation, DNA mismatch repair, somatic hypermutation of B cells, genetic governance of lymphocyte responses, and recently in generating high affinity antibodies and a novel vaccination platform against SARS-CoV-2.   Current projects explore novel therapeutics for SARS-CoV2, human B cell responses to transplantation, genetic determinants of immunity and a novel platform that engages cell mediated immunity to thwart experimental and clinical malignancies.
