A post-doctoral scholar position is available in the Department of Microbiology, Oregon State University, for research with the interdisciplinary BIOSSCOPE team supported by Simons Foundation International to explore microbial interactions with dissolved organic matter in the Western Sargasso Sea. We are looking for scientists with experience and a record of publications in some combination of the following: marine microbial genomics, metagenomics, proteomics, biochemistry, and environmental chemistry.

Two postdoctoral positions are available in the Ismagilov group at the California Institute of Technology (http://ismagilovlab.caltech.edu).

We are seeking talented, motivated individuals to join a collaborative effort to enable development of rapid diagnostic tests of antibiotic susceptibility for several pathogens, including Neisseria gonorrhoeae, in collaboration with Drs. Jeffrey Klausner (UCLA) and Olusegun Soge (UW). The work combines fundamental studies and creative applications of knowledge to create new technologies.

Our research team is interested in supporting candidates applying for The Zuckerman Postdoctoral Scholars Program, who wish to conduct their postdoctoral studies in Israel. 

Zuckerman Postdoctoral Scholars receive a scholarship of $50,000 per academic year for up to two years, with $36,000 each year for living expenses and $14,000 each year for research ($10,000) and travel ($4,000) expenses. Candidates must be citizens of the United States or Canada, or have a documented status that allows them to study and work in the US.

A NIH-funded postdoctoral fellow position is available in the laboratory of Mario Feldman, PhD, at the Department of Molecular Microbiology, Washington University School of Medicine in St Louis, Missouri, USA. The Feldman lab investigates the virulence and survival mechanisms of the opportunistic pathogen Acinetobacter baumannii. The successful candidate will be driving research into the molecular mechanisms that govern protein secretion and cell surface organization in this pathogen.
