The Lin Research Group in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor is seeking a postdoctoral fellow.
• The fellow will work on a federally funded project of developing a generalizable technology platform, based on modular synthetic microbial consortia, for sustainable production of biofuels/bioproducts using atmospheric carbon dioxide and nitrogen.

SUMMARY:
A post-doctoral position is available immediately in Dr. Ganjam Kalpana’s laboratory at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine to investigate host-virus interactions of HIV-1 and the mechanism of HIV persistence and latency. These studies are focused on the interaction between integrase and INI1/SMARCB1. Recent NMR structural studies and modeling of the IN-INI1 domain complex have revealed an unprecedented finding of RNA mimicry by the INI1/SMARCB1 protein domain (Nature Communications 2021) and have led to the development of a novel, first-in-class, anti-HIV-1 therapeutics.
